Once micro SD is installed to birdhouse camera, the iCSee or XMEYE can read the memory capacity. In most of case, you don’t need to format SD card manually. The bird box camera will keep recording by overwriting from beginning space when it is full. You still can manually format and erase the recording files anytime you want. The IP bird box camera supports micro SD card less or equal to 64GB and some of the 128GB micro SD card. The SD introduces new format after 128GB, but some models are backward compatible.
This below instruction is suitable for the IP (WiFi) birdhouse camera from Green-Backyard, Gardenature, Oertl, Green-feathers, and Handykam which are using iCSee or XMEYE mobile application.
1. In the live video, tap the settings icon on top right screen.
2. Now choose “Storage Management”.
3. Next tap the “Format SD Card” at the bottom of the screen.
4. Click “Confirm” to erase all the data in the micro SD card.

How many hours are recorded with a 32GB card?
It is around 24 hours continuous recording after H.264+ compression is enable. The camera also supports motion detected recording which will make the camera begin to record when it picks up the change in the scense. The motion detection is not very accurate algorithm. However, it saves plents of your micro SD card space.
