How to upload the latest firwmare to the camera

The latest firmware provides advanced features and security to your IP bird box camera. You can upload the latest firmware to your camera to have those features. Please understand different cameras may need different firmwares. The firmware information will be used to determine the matched firmware. It is important that DON’T dis-connect the camera’s power before the upgrade process is completed. Otherwise, the camera will fail to boot up anymore.

Instructions

This below instruction is suitable for the IP (WiFi) birdhouse camera from Green-Backyard, Gardenature, Oertl, Green-feathers, and Handykam which are using iCSee or XMEYE mobile application. Both iCSee and XMEYE are Interchangeable.

1.First , select “Batch Upgrade” in the home panel.

2.Now Click “Browse” to choose new firmware. The firmware is end with bin.

3. Next, Tick the check box to select the camera you want to upload.

4.Now Click “upgrade” to upload the firmware.

IMPORTANT: Do not dis-connect the power or close the software before the upgrade is being successful.

  3. Just bought a camera from you guys. You do a great job promoting the models and I have to admit, I love the build and what you have accomplished. However, some suggestions 🙂 Support or Help should be at the top of any suppliers page. Nothing is more annoying then having an issue, trying to figure it out and having to spend a lot of time finding solutions or updates. Please check for example the Reolink website. Support is on top and when hovering over it.. pull down menu to pick what you need. Then go to download center and add your model. Perfect.

For example, as an IT guy, when I buy new hardware… first step is always, update firmware. For the life of my I am unable to find it on your side. So, if you please tell me where I can download the latest firmware for my model, the 4921-45 I will start downloading 🙂

One other thing. A big thing. When I try to connect to my camera through my browser on my Mac, I get the message:

Your browser is too, new. Some features will not work properly. Please download 44.0 or earlier.

This is a humongous no no and a red flag if ever I’ve seen one. You guys have to fix this as it is very very, suspicious. People in IT never ever downgrade software…. ever. If new software does not work…. that what is not working should be fixed so… please do 🙂

    1. Hi,
Thanks for your advice Nico. We will try to try to place the support portal on the top page. I believe it is really necessary. Regarding to the firmware update, there is no firmware update for this model at this moment. It is quite a mature hardware solution. You are right. You can’t access the camera through a web browser on the Mac OS. It needs free Mac software. The camera support Onvif protocols. It also works with 3rd party software such as VLC player, OBS studio, or paid software SpySecurity (for Mac). I will send you an email in case you might miss this reply.
      Best regards,
      Joe
