2.5.1 Protect from Rain

The IP nest box camera can be deployed outdoor inside the nest box. However, it is not waterproof. If the water or rain lead back to the camera, It may damage the camera eventually. In order to protect the camera, you should seal the top of the roof. The 3M tape is the good solution to seal the top of the roof. Please choose the type design for the vehicle.

You also need to reserve the cable let-out (notch) for the power cord. The position of the notch should be lower than the camera, otherwise, it will introduce the water to the body of the camera.

You should leave the connector of the connector outside of the nest box. Both the RJ45 network connector and optional power cord should face straight down to the ground, so the water will not sneak back to the RJ45 port and damage the connection.
